I dithered about a retention wall last year in this post but we're finally doing it!!! Most of the information remains the same except we can't build a simple block wall to save money.
Town ordinances say we must have staggered interlocking blocks and a drainage pipe and all sorts of stuff which will probably cost about $9k for a 67 foot long wall between 36-44" tall.
I balked since 9k is A LOT - especially for a wall which will entirely face our neighbor's yard but we're planning to live here forever. Its best to get this done right.
