Inspiration Thursday: Gardening with Crystals

So yesterday I bought a Pfaltzgraff pitcher. Nothing fancy except I'd seen this photo months ago:


While following its pinterest trail I found:


People hooking crystals unto garden pails as decor!


I have a bunch of crystals from some lamps my brother tossed ages ago


I even have some crystal garland I bought at Michaels in my pre-wedding PIN ALL THINGS shopping


Isn't that cute?


I don't like the hanging spoons but I like how they painted and decoupaged the pitcher.

The little pitcher I found is only six inches tall and would look SO CUTE over teeny tiny hydrangea. It looks like most people hang theirs from shepherd's hooks so I've been pricing them out. $6-7 at Home Depot seems to be the cheapest. The opening is about 2-3" so I don't think it would serve the dual purpose of being a planter:
