This is how Staples used to make me feel. Unfortunately the aftermath is turning out just like on Happy Days.

This is the exact body of an e-mail Staples sent me last Thursday. Instead of members receiving 5% back as rewards they would be getting 3%

Wait a sec while I stifle my yawn.

Then I was reading an unrelated thread at Slickdeals when someone said our time to use rewards would be changing from 6 months to 1 month.

Under Change 3:
"Rewards expire the last day of the month following the month in which they are issued and cannot be redeemed after the expiration date."

I just checked my July rewards and they expire at the end of September instead of December, as they normally would. I guess this means the max amount of rewards we'll be able to stack towards a purchase will be $80 (in a rapid processing month) instead of $240.

Hopefully I am misreading this and things will stay the way they are. I just bought 300 ink cartridges and only recycled 30 so far. Plus I only have $40 towards that rug I liked. Hopefully we'll still be able to use rewards to buy gift cards.
