Yay it was Volunteer Day!

I missed volunteering last week cause my husband and I went away for a few days to escape the mess downstairs. The lady who runs the little thrift shop says donations are coming in FAST and I definitely saw it.

We decided to declutter the kid's section of the store because it was becoming overcrowded with stuff which wasn't selling. I haven't talked of my love of uncluttering much lately but its something I really enjoy. I got to go through a ton of the racks and just TRASH whatever I wanted. Oh it was so great!

While I was going through I also picked up a bunch of stuff to buy:

First up toys:

Some kinda collectible bear - .25
Batman & Robin Little People - .50 for both
Mario plushes - .25 each (for my nephew)
Maze toy - $2 (for niece #2)
My Little Pony - $2 (for niece #1)

Estee Lauder Perfume - $4
Recipe journal + Voodoo cooker - $1

I'd been looking at this exact same recipe book at Staples the day before for $20. It has different sections for entrees, apps, bevs, etc. Pretty swank to find it here.

Wrap - $4 (for my grandma)

Land's End Sweater - NWT - $1
Kid's clothes - .50 each

Decluttering today was fun. It reminded me of my non-essentials purge before the Big Move of 2010 or 2011. All this thrifting has led to a great amassing. At first I was good about donating back as much as I was bringing home but as you can see from this post its a lot more in and none out.

I need to work on that.

I'm talking about thrifting, as usual, over at Sir Thrift a Lot's.

Lots of great finds! Good thing you didn't buy the book from Staples :) it's always so exciting to find thrifted goodies for a fraction of the price of new :D
