Random Roundup

Its been a while since I did one of these catch all posts but I have SO MUCH to say today.

First thing's first - postage stamps are going up to .49 in January so you better buy some Forever Stamps NOW! I got my $30 October Office Depot rewards this week so I know what that's going towards.

Talking about USPS - Amazon has linked up with them to deliver packages on SUNDAY!!! Oh grand, grand holiday season. I haven't ordered anything lately but the idea of mail on the 7th day makes me giddy:

In other happy mailing news, Staples will now let us recycle our ink cartridges through the mail! has all the details. All you have to do is package the stuff, print out a prepaid label and drop it in the mail. Considering the distance I live from Staples and the frequency with which I visit a mailbox this is a huge boon fo rme!

Three iterations out Ooma is discontinuing most service towards my version of the Ooma. According to an e-mail with a bad link they are offering an upgrade to the most recent version for $99 but I think I will stick with my trusty old device. I can't believe its been with me since 2009 and has saved me so much money.

AMEX's Small Business Saturday is only for $10 this year. Its been $25 forever so the internet is pretty mad. It falls on November 30th this year with sign ups starting on November 24.

Most Black Friday ads are out on already. I am looking forward to setting up an Amazon Prime trial account and ordering Monster's University for $10. My husband and I are planning to buy a washer and dryer at Sears (probably not the front page only have five per store one) so we bought some Sears gift cards at Rite Aid this week.

Every week Rite Aid has good deals on rewards on gift cards. This week its "Get back $10 in Rite Aid rewards for every $50 Sears card you buy." Limit two per person. I also bought "$25 Ihop or Applebees gift card, get back $6 in Rite Aid rewards." Yay free money. Yay I say.

Oh and I forgot this blog is on the kindle until I got a hit from there. Why subscribe for $1 when you can internet browse it for free? Not price savvy, random visitor.

Hyperbole and a Half updated! Yay!

That's it for now.
