Like watching Glass dry

Remember these cute glasses I bought last week? Well they were hiding a dirty secret:

Not my finger print, the white lines at the top and middle. They feel kinda almost greasy and are on the outside so I figured a quick handwash would do the trick.

So I tried a white vinegar soak.

So I tried white vinegar in a cup inside the dishwasher.

Well 25% success:

Ignore the water marks, I don't use no stinking rinse agents! As you can see one of the glasses didn't have any marks left at all so it was time to try:

Denture Tablets in warm water!

Don't worry, I didn't go out to buy these just for glass cleaning purposes. I use them to clean my retainer.

This is what they looked like right after I put the tablets in.

This is about an hour later when I remembered to go check.

Prognosis? Dim.

Whatever was originally two lines on the outside of the cups smeared around. Look at that weird half circle too - it looks like I scratched at it with my fingernail but I didn't.

So any further suggestions? I'm googled out.
