Cancelling Redbox streaming? Good luck.

Have I told you I suck at watching tv alone? The last time I turned on my television was at least three weeks ago because I had guests over.

Unsurprisingly this makes me a lousy candidate to beta-test cruddy streaming services.

Have I told you I hate watching dvds? Ever since I went blu-ray YEARS ago anything on dvd makes me rub my eyes and wonder if my lasik is going bad.

Even worse, when I went to Redbox's kiosk to pick out free rentals (you get 4 monthly per account) the free movies could only be dvds! Yuck! Paying the extra .50 to rent a blu wasn't even an option.

Double yuck!

So I came home to cancel the service and couldn't figure out how to do it! I finally went through their on-line chat and had to verify name, phone, cc, zip, etc to get them to cancel it. The whole process took about 15 minutes but I have dual monitors so I didn't mind. I'm studying up on layers in Photoshop and that was using a lot of my brain power anyway.

If I was part of the first batch of beta testers Redbox better update their FAQ because I sense a lot of cancellations coming up this week.
