Best Buy has Steelbook exclusives but I refrain

Best Buy released steelbook editions of some popular blu-rays this week:

In case you are as not-in-the-know (as I was mere months ago): some movies are so awesome they must be encased in steel (tin) instead of plastic. Its the same movie but in a cooler case.

I've been hanging at blu-ray.com (always a bad idea to join an on-line community of enablers) and everyone has been snatching these from Best Buy like mad. I dropped by tonight and wasn't horribly impressed. Sure, The Matrix has awesome artwork but I traded my dvd copy because it hadn't been watched in years. Cool artwork will not bring Neo back.

Cool cases like this should be reserved for Collectors and people who really love these movies. None of these are in my Top 15 movies of All Time so I think I will pass....even next week when they drop to $9.99 a piece:

I must not...upgrade LOTR blu-rays to steelbooks...must not....

Update two days later:
I upgraded my LotR movies to steelbook and they look AWESOME! I am even considering installing a special shelf like this just to display them:

I truly love your site.. Great colors & theme. Did you develop this amazing site yourself? Please reply back as I’m planning to create my own site and would like to learn where you got this from or exactly what the theme is called. Appreciate it!
