Day 3 - Five songs you would have with you on a desert island and why.

I've talked about my love for crappy, feel good music in the past so here is my list:

1. Busta Rhymes - Stop The Party feat. Swizz Beatz
I love the beat plus its five minutes long - the perfect length for a song I could loop for hours while I build my hut. Its good background music.

2. Eminem ft. Rihanna - Love the Way you Lie
This song disturbs me on levels I never expected. Yet Rihanna brings a poignancy I can't stop listening for. I'd listen to this one while swimming.

3. Don Omar - Provocame
Did you read what I wrote up there about liking music that energizes me? This is my single lady's anthem but also awesome for those energized days when everything is perfect. Unfortunately YouTube only has the live in concert version and it lacks the passion from the cd. I'd be taking cd recordings, right?

4. Portishead - Numb
This is my rainy day, lost in thought song. My parents live on an island - they get rain almost daily and I like being prepared. I'd listen to this while writing my own stories.

5. GNR - November Rain
I'm a November baby and this was a favorite since grade school - plus I could play the air guitar I packed for said deserted island. Refugees need hobbies too.

Are you as surprised as I am that Jay Z isn't listed? I love his music but its really hard to loop for hours. I debated Forever Young but if I'm stuck on an island for the rest of my life this song may drive me to suicide :/

Hmmm. Top five desert island songs?

Hot Air Ballon- Owl City (for when I'm happy)

Strawberry Avalanche- Owl City (above reason)

The Scientist- Coldplay (for when I'm feeling sad)

Over and Over Again- She & Him (for when I'm feeling antaganistic)

Baby, I Need Your Lovin'- Johnny Rivers (and this song just because it's my favorite right now.)

Tada!
