Apple Blueberry Crisp - Critically Acclaimed by Me

This is the "leftovers" picture so its not as yummy looking today as yesterday. I went with one layer of macintosh apples but think two is optimum unless you're rushing.

This is the recipe I cobbled together from a bunch of others:

6 Medium sized macintosh apples
1 Cup blueberries (the packs that come premeasured in the produce dept)
2 Cups quick-cooking oats, uncooked
1 Tablespoon cinnamon
1/2 Cup packed brown sugar
2 Sticks of butter

Core, peel and layer apples. Sprinkle blueberries on top. In a bowl mix together oats, sugar, cinnamon and butter. I nuked the sticks for about 20 seconds to make them easier to mix. Spread topping on...top.

Bake at 350 for half an hour.

This dessert was really well received! Next time I'll use twice as many apples or half the topping as it yielded a pretty high crisp to filling ratio.
