I want to move like you, but I don't want to be shaped like you

I skipped two bikram classes in a row this week. Once was my traditional Thursday skippage but Wednesday night was tough. I kept fiddling, turned on the tv, caught up with my google reader and even baked a cake.

I think I'm losing weight. I don't own a scale and I'm scared to pull out the Wii Fit and have it confirm my suspicions but my pants sag and my energy is low.

I'm simply not consuming enough calories to offset bikram. The problem is that I love bikram - its guided meditation with the added benefit of stregthening my body! I want to go every. single. day.

but I can't :(

While I typically weigh between 120-125lbs I still have plenty of curves and I cherish them. As much as my thighs interfere with certain poses I wouldn't trade them for a lank body any day. So that's where I stand - trying to increase my intake of calories in order burn them off in class.

Life is too cyclical.

* Post Title spoofed from BtVS:
Angel: I want to learn from you.
Whistler: All right.
Angel: But I don't want to dress like you.
Whistler: Again, you're annoying me. You're lucky we need you on our side.

I think you've inspired me to get in shape- I mean really in shape. Flexible, maybe a little muscle instead of flab, you name it.

Know what you mean - the calorie balance with Bikram can be tricky. Hope you are able to find a balance that works for your body...
"Guided meditation" is a great way of describing Bikram yoga! Love how we can just completely let everything go in class and just listen to the dialogue. Such a simple concept, but it totally works! :)
