Gotta Wii? Getta Netflix

Coming this spring - stream unlimited Netflix videos through your Wii for only $8.99 a month!

The Upside:
- At $200, the Wii is cheaper than other Netflix streaming consoles.

- $8.99/month is cheaper than a movie and some lunches

- Its the only gaming system I own ;)

The Downside:
- Steaming video means using your internet connection. If you have problems watching HULU (because of your slow connection, not your slow computer) this may not be the service for you.

- The Wii has 480p versus 720p and 1080p on the PS3 and XBOX. What's that mean? The Wii can't play high definition graphics. However I have HD cables for the Wii ($13.99 at Amazon) and they are a HUGE improvement over the bundled cables. They are the best upgrade to the Wii - even if you're just playing video games and don't plan to use Netflix.

- Rumor around the internet says Netflix doesn't stream many hd videos.

- Netflix may start delaying all new releases. "Warner Bros. has struck a deal with Netflix Inc. whereby the fast-growing DVD subscription firm won't offer the studio's movies until 28 days after they go on sale." Disney and Starz may be the next to start limiting content. This article posits this may lead to higher user costs.

Good to know. :) And poo on bad internet connections- watching shows online is taboo in my house, it makes using the internet the next few weeks horror.

I hope you caught up on House. :P
