I blatantly stole the idea of velcroing "stuff" to tile from
Older and Wisor.I garage saled this star a few months ago and its been propping its way around the kitchen since. I even considered
hanging it. I know - my ability to shock will never cease.

Anyway once I removed the offensive nail and brace hanging mechanism, I applied velcro tape made especially for smooth surfaces (click on picture to zoom in on the packaging) and centered it over the kitchen sink. In retrospect I should have centered it in the space but this is cute too.
Cost of star - $1 (price on back says it was $15.99 at the Christmas Shoppe)
Velcro tape - $2 (at Home Depot)
Next up: Filching Britt's roman shades idea.

That's a great idea! The star looks great on that wall! Thanks for stopping by my blog!!
Now that's smart! I have the same issue in my kitchen. I have a place where the cabinets start higher on the wall so there's a large space of just tile. I thought of using an adhesive hook, but that won't hold a lot of weight. I like your velcro idea!
Never thought of velcro!! What a great idea! That's the perfect spot for the star!! Good job!
YAY! I love the mirror....although in my house that means I would have "double" the dirty dishes ;)
