It takes money to make money

Balancing MagicIn this Sunday's Parade Magazine (Yes, I read Parade) Marilyn vos Savant had a blurb on the cost of making money.

According to her:
A paper note costs 6.2 cents to make
4.1 cents to make a dime
9.5 cents to make a nickel

Clearly the nickel is overly inflated and needs to be downsized! Also I can't wait to get home and make penny bridges.

Wow, 9.5 cents to make a nickel...

You are right that nickel is overly inflated.
