Nightmares when sleeping on back?

Whenever I fall asleep on my back I end up having nightmares. My grandmother and aunt report similar phenomena (with snoring added for good measure).

Dr. Google says part of the reason for nightmaring whilst back sleeping could be the location of the fear center in our brains. Interesting stuff.

Wonder if there is any credibility here...

I don't know about you, but when I sleep on my back I don't sleep as deeply....perhaps something similar to this happens and you feel as though you're dreaming more often? Its been a while since I took that psych class in college, so I'm not sure that makes sense anymore. Even that wouldn't explain the "nightmare" part though.....interesting stuff, hehe.
