Duracell Batteries better than free at CVS this week

Duracell CouponCVS this week: Buy $20 worth of Duracell batteries, get $15 in CVS bucks back. Limit 3 per card.

That seems like a pretty good deal - pay $5 for a ton of batteries and go home happy right?

I went to five different CVS stores today (two were with other folks showing them the deal so they don't all count as my own trips right? Right!?) Four of the five stores had CVS coupons affixed to the battery shelf for $5 off any 2 packs of Duracell batteries (see scan above).

Some mathematics:

4 packs of $5 batteries = $20
Use 2 $5 off coupons
Total = $10 cash, $15 back in CVS bucks

Now if you're especially good and enjoy tempting the skepticism of CVS cashiers: some battery packs have $1 coupons on them. There were also coupons in today's paper. CVS has an excellent coupon policy - they accept one CVS coupon and one manufacturer's coupon per item.

Doesn't that make your head just want to explode?

Anyway :)

I was down to my last AAA battery for the car alarm so this deal came at a great time. I actually use AA rechargables so am pretty much set batterywise for at least a year.

The rest of the batteries? Are going into a box for my niece's first Christmas. She has too many battery operated toys and at eight months won't have any idea what gifts are anyway. As an added perk she can't read and has no idea I just finished telling the internet what her WTF gift will be ;)
