More Wall Conversation

I was reading an interview with Seth Rogen the other day. He's twenty-five and in his first serious relationship. He always expected to become more masculine once he was committed but says its had the exact opposite effect on him. Now he knows what accent walls and throw pillows are.

Good girlfriend ;)

Accent walls are cool but you know what's even cooler?

Metal paint sounds like a dumb idea until you realize how cute magnets are. The beauty of a metal wall is that it can be covered in any other paint and retain its metalness. I think this would work beautifully in a kid's room. I worked with kindergartenners for a period and those fuckers can draw! Not only that - every scribble had to be lauded as if it were the second coming of Monet. None of this fridge cluttering nonsense - thanks to magnet paint it can remain in their room. And when they become angsty teens rebelling through poor poster choices? Pull down the crayola and magnet up some movie posters without putting a single nail in your wall. Blog link with practical advice on paint application.

I thought chalkboard paint was cute when I saw it in green. Then I saw it in black and got positively itchy for a wall of it. Alas I hate dust and chalk is a thing of the past.

I can't help it - I know whiteboard paint is cleaner, easier to wipe, has frequently free markers. Its even shiny! Yet...its white. When I look at chalkboard paint's beautifully rich black or jaunty green results I grow even more disdainful of the white paint. Its the practical choice I suppose.
