The Elephant in the Room

Well its that time of the month again - most of my favorite personal finance bloggers have published their end of the month net worth posts. The PF community is different from any other on-line community I've been involved in before because it shares so deeply yet anonymously.

Money is a concrete item that everyone has a strong opinion on. Telling anyone interested enough to visit exactly how much you earn and spend is raw - even if done under the cloak of anonymity.

I debated posting my own monthly worth on here for about 10 seconds then came to my senses. I'm private and until I started setting up my will a few weeks ago had not told anyone what my assets were. However I do want to take part in the sharing!

So here's an update on my Way2Save account which is a month old now:
Monthly Deposit: $100
Using the account to pay other credit cards or at a store: $12
Interest: $0.26
Total: $112.26

Getting the $1 credit for using the account is turning out to be much easier than I expected. I didn't realize I got $1 for also using the account to pay off my other credit cards. So in the first month I already made half of my projected yearly transactions. Time to tinker with that java calculator again!

With those kinds of savings I better start requesting retirement information stat! ;)
