Real Friends Don't Forward

I got my first e-mail address a little over a decade ago. In a bout of supreme foolishness it was immediately dispersed to everyone I knew; launching an onslaught of forwards, chain letters and ascii art the likes of which I'd never imagined.

Luckily these days we have MySpace, facebook and various social networking sites to serve as great trashbin servers on the internet. Yet every once in a while someone will catch the forwarding bug and start sending crap - like that damned cookie recipe. What can you do?

On a recent Spark podcast they discussed ways of dealing with people who won't stop forwarding "turkey bacon." Their approach is slightly more tactful than my random outbursts of rage.

Also they suggest if you love sending people links you should just start a blog and save everyone the hassle of clicking your stuff all day *cough*
